Founded in 1979 as The experimental chemical/photographic industry enterprise , these days LIT WORKS is developing and manufacturing a broad range of quality thermal insulation materials for HVAC and other industrial applications. In addition to insulation materials, the company is providing a full and diversified line of glass processing.

LIT WORKS currently houses its manufacturing facility in over 26000 m2 and employs more than 500 people, possesses high performance equipment and well-developed infrastructure.

April, 1979 - The experimental chemical/photographic enterprise was established as part of the State Research Institute of the Chemical and Photographic industry

August, 1982 - launching the production of UV-4 and UV-5 ( ultraviolet spectrum sensitive) film

1983 - the beginning of the production of color correcting filter film, diazo- film type A, emulsion-gel “UK” for thin-layer for express-radioautography

1984 – launching the production of “FFTP” ( photographic thermoplastic film ) and “DSL-2” film ( blue ribbon diazo- film) . Optimization of formulation of “Cellofot-2” material ( photo-polymerizing plate for raised flexible printing forms )

1985 – testing and launching of the production of photographic “GP”film ( photographic material for holographic memory systems ), “MSH” ( high resolution black and white negative film ), vesicular film “VZ-2”, radiation detector “DNC” ( nitrocellulose detector )

1986 - testing and launching of the production of “OFPM” film ( organic electrophotographic film ) and infra-chromatic film , “EL” film ( photographic material for electron beam recording for application in space and aero imaging, astronomy, geology and spectroscopy)

1989 - optimization of formulation of “Cellofot-4” material, testing and launching of the production of “V”, ‘OV”, “PV” film ( highly sensitive films with 800 to 3000 exposure rate )

1992 - launching the production of the film with removable layer “Lumiline ” ( masking film for production of photomasks of printing forms )

1998 – launching the production of “Penofol” thermal reflective insulation based on PE foam and digital printing on the first IBM InfoColor70 machine in Eastern Europe

2000 – launching the production of “Olefol” and the first stage of technical insulation materials based on foamed Polyethylene
